roller coaster screams

roller coaster screams
tonight they carry across
water and time

When I asked Michael Rotstein his permission to use this marvelous time lapse video of Stockholm amusement park Gröna Lund he said he liked my blog and I was welcome to use the video. But, erm, did it really fit in with haiku, haiku being so serene...?

He was quite right, and I wouldn't have chosen his video for this haiku had it not been for the fact that I want a Grande Finale. Cos yes I've decided to let this blog take a nap. This has been my third haiku period so far in life and I wouldn't be at all surprised if I hit a fourth one. If I do, I'll return to this spot.

But for now it's good night. Thanks for reading and commenting!

  3. Thank you so very much Ifinder, you sound so sincere and well versed in the spirit of haiku ("each word many pages") you've absolutely made my day:)) No problem about the comment publishing itself twice - I was happy to read it all over again;) Thanks!

  4. Thank you Rosk, yes it did seem fun for a finale! Great shots as well, our little amusement park has never seemed as fun before as it does in this vid, ha ha. But it's very pretty when you approach it by ferry. Stockholm is a "water city", built on fourteen islands. For some destinations, the ferry is a practical - and wonderful - way to go where you're going. Djurgården, where the amusement park is situated, is one of those places.
